- We are performing in the school Black History Celebration on Tuesday, February 28. Parents will be invited to one of these performances, although I am unsure of the details yet. Please check Dojo for times, as I will post them there when I know.
- Students need to have their own DRY-ERASE MARKER for Math Centers. Please purchase on for your child ASAP.
Reader’s Workshop: Make sure your child is reading 30-45 minutes nightly, otherwise it will be difficult for them to achieve this goal. ReadnQuiz goals will be graded on the percentage of points that they accrue towards their total point goal. Students earn points by taking reading quizzes after they finish any IR or GR book. This week, students will work on Daily 5 activities: Read To Self, Guided Reading, Listen To Reading, and Word Work. Students will also complete the Class novel, Wonder.
Writer’s Workshop: This week, students will continue work on their next essay format: Expository. Students will revise and publish their essay. All essays are due Friday, February 21.
Math: In Math, students will complete Unit 5, Fractions. Students will review and test on Wednesday. Then, students will begin Chapter 6.
Science: This week, students will begin a new unit of study: Ecosystems, with Ms. Pfeiffer.
