This week we will be going on out Field Trip to the Museum of Science and Industry on Tuesday, May 29.  Make sure your child brings a sack lunch so that we can picnic outside in Amanda’s Garden upon our return.

Students will have a practice session in mixed numbers for the Unit 8 re-test on Wednesday.  This is an optional re-test to students who want to add percentage points to their Unit 8 Assessment.  All students will participate in the review.

Thanks to Ronald, Adam, and Joi’s family for sending in supplies for the classroom.  We could use tissue, hand sanitizer, and wet wipes.  If you can donate, we would appreciate a lot.

This week, our theme is RIGOR.  We are moving into new units of study in Writing and Math.  In Writing, we are beginning our end-of-the-year memoirs.  This week, students will be doing a lot of prewriting to prepare for first drafting.  In Math, our new unit, unit 9, will investigate coordinates, area, and volume.  In Social Studies, we will take a Chapter 6 test.  Students should beef up their notes, as they may use their notebooks for the test.  This test will be on Thursday.
